Precis Hires Tim Capparella, PE, as Senior Process Automation Engineer

Precis has hired Tim Capparella, PE, as Senior Process Automation Engineer. He will provide leadership and direction for Precis’ process automation group.

In his new role, Capparella oversees the firm’s process automation department and provides engineering design services. His project involvement includes instrumentation and automation systems design, systems integration design for stand-alone controllers into building or process automation systems, and SCADA implementations for business-critical monitoring applications.

Capparella has more than a decade of experience in process automation engineering within the manufacturing, biotechnology, and pharmaceutical industries. His areas of expertise include control systems migrations, safety instrumented systems implementation and validation, instrument specification, and controller tuning. He has been involved with domestic and international capital project execution. Capparella holds both M.S. and B.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Drexel University. He lives in Horsham, Pa.
