Timothy Capparella, PE

Tim Capparella directs the automation team, leveraging 15+ years of U.S. and international automation engineering experience within the manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology markets while providing design and technical project oversight. His background on the client side exposed him to automation project execution and central engineering support for chemical manufacturing facilities worldwide. He contributes this dual client-consultant perspective to control systems migrations, expansions, and upgrades that deliver responsive and pragmatic solutions. Tim joined Precis in 2019 to lead its new automation group, earning a promotion to director in 2020.

Like a good automation system, Tim projects an aura of control while switching rapidly between tasks. He’s so calm and collected under pressure that he’s been called robotic – something he can laugh off with the knowledge that it’s his professionalism and focus others recognize. Tim never hesitates to roll up his sleeves and get to work to solve a challenging problem.

Tim and his wife have a toddler son and a mini-Dachshund. The couple enjoys driving getaways where both can come along. In rare free time, Tim likes playing golf.
