- “In an industry that requires spectacular performance at the bare minimum, being on a team forged not just with like-minded technical individuals, but with deep-rooted personal connections and friendships, we are able to provide consistent, high-quality results to our customers because we share in each other’s success.”
Josh Capparella lends his 20+ years of mechanical and energy engineering and management expertise to overseeing Pennsylvania operations and projects. He joined Precis in 2016 to lead the company’s first project management team, earning a promotion to principal in 2019.
Josh considers himself a field general who likes to have his hands in everything. He jokes that having a strong opinion is the main area where he excels. But Josh’s perspective comes from a diverse and extensive background designing cGMP pharmaceutical and industrial facilities across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. This experience informs his innovative approach to incorporating new technologies, data analytics, capital savings strategies, and decarbonization measures into the design and development process for Precis and its clients. Josh co-authored the sustainability chapter in the Encyclopedia of Industrial Biotechnology, has contributed to the peer-reviewed journal Pharmaceutical Engineering, and regularly presents on topics such as energy management and retro-commissioning.
Josh married his high school sweetheart and the two have a son and daughter. The competitive family enjoys playing sports together (and betting on who will win), going to the beach, and spending time on their boat. In Josh’s free time, he plays golf and serves on the board of Cancer Legacy in Action Projects (CLAP), the charity founded in memory of Precis principal and Josh’s cousin Sam Colucci.
