Position Overview:

The Structural Engineering Intern will be based in our Ambler, Pa., office. The individual must be enrolled in an accredited university studying structural or architectural engineering or a related field and should be resourceful and goal oriented. Our Structural Department is regularly engaged in a broad spectrum of projects that require creative solutions to challenging building systems and utility issues. Responsibilities:

• Provide structural engineering support with mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing design services, working alongside experienced architects and engineers.
• Provide support with necessary AutoCAD/Revit tasks.
• Assist with developing design documentation including engineering calculations and drawings, as well as interfacing with project designers and equipment manufacturers.
• Dependent on active projects and clients, interns may have the opportunity to participate in client meetings and site visits to develop valuable field experience.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering.
• Familiarity and ability to navigate Microsoft Office products preferred.
• Excellent written, graphical, and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit is a plus.
