Position Overview:
The full-time Human Resources Coordinator will support our growing team. This is a salaried, full-time position, in-office required, reporting to the CFO. This role is ideal for an entry-level to mid-level experienced HR professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about building strong organizational culture and supporting employee success. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a strong foundation in HR best practices to help foster a positive, high-performing workplace culture.
Responsibilities:
- Support key HR functions such as onboarding, orientation, and ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
- Coordinate with IT and Facilities for equipment, systems setup, and new hire preparation; manage onboarding document gathering and compliance tracking; conduct new hire and periodic employment screenings.
- Respond to inquiries and serve as first point of contact for internal HR questions.
- Maintain and update HR documents, job descriptions, policies, procedures, employee files, and other employee-related data and update tasks in HRIS.
- Support supervisors with performance reviews, wage and compensation and other data tracking, and maintenance to support corporate governance requirements.
- Work closely with payroll and CFO in all aspects of employee data updates, payroll preparation, tracking, reporting, and processing to support benefits enrollment, promotions, compliance requirements, and other employee-related tasks.
- Assist with employee education, health and wellness initiatives, financial education initiatives, benefits enrollment, compliance tasks, audit preparation, and other project work as required.
- Assist CFO with project work, policy development, and audit preparation and tasks.
- Maintain current understanding of HR regulations, laws, and best practices to support updating and maintaining policies, procedures, the employee handbook, and other documents to support the HR function.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of experience in HR administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, finance, business management, or a related field.
- SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification desired.
- Enthusiasm and energy to support people and flexibility to adapt and grow as the organizational needs evolve.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- High attention to detail and self-motivation for work product excellence.
- Excellent time management, organization, and multitasking abilities.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly professional with strong social skills and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Able to build strong internal relationships and know when to escalate issues appropriately.
- Critical thinking, ethical judgement, problem solving, and process improvement-oriented mindset; willingness to adapt, learn, and grow.
- This position involves physical requirements of sitting at a desk for 8-10 hour days, filing, lifting 5-25-pound boxes, and bending/lifting for records retention management on an as-needed basis.
