Position Overview

Precis is currently seeking a resourceful and goal-oriented Structural Engineering Intern. If you are looking to work in building systems and modeling, willing to ask questions and seek answers, and enjoy a motivated, small-company culture, and a collaborative multidisciplinary environment consider an internship experience with Precis.  This individual must have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and be challenged, and a desire to engage with other design discipline team members.

Our Structural Department is regularly engaged in a broad spectrum of projects that require creative solutions to challenging building systems and utility issues. This offers an excellent environment for employees to rapidly expand their knowledge and understanding of the key role engineering plays in the success of building renovations and new construction projects. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Working alongside experienced architects and engineers providing support with Mechanical, HVAC, and Plumbing design services
  • Provide support with necessary AutoCAD/Revit Tasks
  • Assist with developing design documentation including engineering calculations and drawings, as well as interfacing with project designers and equipment manufacturers
  • Dependent on active projects and clients, Interns may have the opportunity to participate in client meetings and site visits to develop valuable field experience

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering 
  • Familiarity and ability to navigate MS office products preferred
  • Excellent written, graphical, and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD/Revit is a plus
