Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Process Piping Designer to join our team in the biotechnology/pharmaceutical sector. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently or within a team on technically challenging projects.

The Precis Process Engineering Department is regularly engaged in a broad spectrum of projects that require innovative solutions to complex process design challenges, regulatory requirements, and production efficiency goals. This offers an excellent environment for employees to rapidly expand their knowledge and understanding of the key role engineering plays in the success of building renovations and new construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop engineering drawings, details, and isometrics (AutoCAD/Revit) based on process P&IDs, general arrangements (GAs), piping specifications, and equipment drawings
  • Conduct site surveys to document existing conditions and identify utility connection points
  • Provide construction administration support and perform fieldwork as needed
  • Coordinate designs with other disciplines and vendors to ensure project alignment
  • Apply knowledge of cleanroom protocols and industry regulations in system design

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the AEC industry, specializing in process, mechanical, or plumbing piping systems
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, BIM, and Revit, along with the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with clean utilities, process exhaust, PCW, UPW, specialty gas/chemical systems, and specialty drains
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
