Van Zhao

Van Zhao joined Precis in 2023 as Manager of Process Engineering and was promoted to Director – Process Technology in 2026. Over 20 years of professional experience, she has gained exposure to the full spectrum of life sciences process engineering, from gene therapy and vaccine manufacturing to APIs and automation. In her current role, she serves as subject-matter expert, providing process support for fill-finish technologies, potent compound isolators, CIP/SIP systems, flammable materials storage and distribution, and other complex issues. Her technical leadership ensures project alignment with standards and specifications and supports successful project execution.

Raised in Vietnam by parents in the hospitality business, Van grew up with an entrepreneurial drive and customer-first mindset. She values open communication and honesty, and her clients know they can trust her to recommend what’s best for their projects and businesses. She also believes strongly in the interdisciplinary collaboration and in-person teamwork at Precis, where having the chance to regularly talk and share ideas leads to better, more creative outcomes.

Van is the married mother of two high-school-aged sons. She enjoys spending time with her family at their second home in Ocean City, Maryland, relaxing on the beach, getting involved in the small-town community, practicing yoga, and playing pickleball.
