Director - Life Safety | Fire Protection Engineering

Todd Lambert leads the fire protection and life safety group, supporting other Precis disciplines with engineering design, code and hazardous materials analyses, fire ratings, and review of building components for interaction and integration with safety features. Todd began his 35+ year-career as a loss-prevention consultant, responsible for the inspection of multi-million-dollar commercial and industrial properties for insurance purposes. He parlayed this into the construction industry and later into engineering consulting. Todd’s experience spans design and construction of fire protection systems and life-safety analyses for commercial, pharmaceutical, data center, higher education, and manufacturing facilities. He joined Precis in 2017 and was promoted to director in 2021.

Todd leads with fairness and encourages independence. He describes a pass-through level of trust and respect that encourages people to do their best without the need for micromanagement. His team works collaboratively with each other and with other departments to ensure life safety requirements are met or exceeded in every project.

Todd and his wife share one adult son. The empty nesters spend time at a vacation home in southern Delaware where they enjoy walking the beach and boardwalk. Todd is a former high school and college musician who played trombone at Musicfest in Bethlehem, Pa., and toured in Europe.
