- “The teacher in me loves having the opportunity to mentor people and teach them to respond to a customer, respond to an architectural puzzle, or figure something out. I want to make sure people can learn from my experience while setting their own path forward.”
Paul Salvaggio serves as the lead Precis principal for architecture and as Director of Special Projects, overseeing personnel, quality control, and the daily management of special assignments. He also leads Arcus Architecture, a separately owned partner company dedicated to custom residential work. Paul brings creativity, pragmatism, and 30+ years of experience in construction and building science to his leadership role. He has designed a variety of life sciences, commercial, custom residential, and heritage projects.
A deft illustrator, Paul’s hand sketches and renderings help clients visualize design concepts in the moment. His expertise in historic restoration work stems from personal experience living in, and renovating, a 260-year-old farmhouse. The first employee and later a partner of Arcus Design Group, Paul finds leadership stimulating and rewarding; he’s actively engaged in running Precis and feels personally vested in team and firm success.
Paul is the married father to preteen twins – a son and daughter. He spends his free time gardening, tinkering around the house, and making wine. He has taught design studios as an adjunct associate professor at Drexel University for 20+ years and appreciates – and learns from – the continuously evolving perspective of young designers. He is a past member of the Easttown Township, Pa., Planning Commission.
