Bob Dick

Bob Dick co-founded Precis in 2005 and helms the company with a commitment to empowering others. He champions the idea of responsible autonomy, encouraging professional independence while remaining an active presence to offer support, guidance, and a wry sense of humor. With 30+ years as a mechanical engineer, project manager, and principal, Bob is an expert in the design of central and critical infrastructure for pharmaceutical and biotechnology facilities. His experience extends from facility conceptualization and complex modeling to award-winning design and business consulting. His pragmatic style and problem-solving skills leverage technical knowledge and analytic capabilities to create solutions that balance risk, capital, and operating expenses for business success.

From an early age, Bob displayed mechanical aptitude. He had the “knack,” and was the kid in kindergarten playing with a box of pipe and fittings. He spent his teenage years building a sailboat with his father. And he found his niche with complex engineering for pharmaceutical projects, where he could meet the dual challenges of performance and compliance. Today, Bob’s two primary focuses are strategy and service, ensuring Precis remains an innovative engineering leader and that staff maintains reliability and customer responsiveness. He also serves as Chief Happiness Officer, coaching everyone to find the positive in every experience and opportunity. In addition to his leadership role, Bob still loves – and takes on – technical engineering challenges.

Bob has a college-aged daughter and is married to his high school sweetheart. His happiest place is in the garage, where he can get lost for hours fantasizing about drag racing while working on his Grand National. He loves golf, cooking, wine, and a good cigar. Outside of work and industry engagement, Bob serves on the North Wales Area Library Building Committee.
