Amanda Gibney Weko

Chief Communications Officer (CCO)

Amanda Gibney Weko joined Precis in 2007 as a consulting partner. She spent nearly two decades providing outsourced communication consulting, ranging from writing and graphic design to marketing planning and support, before accepting a permanent role in 2026. As CCO, Amanda has integrated and oversees the marketing and business development departments, bringing formal structure and strategy to internal and external communications. Her abilities to unite personalities, understand perspectives, and build consensus make her both an effective leader and a persuasive communicator.

Trained as an architect, Amanda bridges the worlds of construction and communication, able to understand and articulate technical concepts with words and graphics. Owner-operator of AGW Communications since 2003, Weko has served 100+ clients in the design and construction community, published 150+ industry articles, written or contributed to seven books, and developed dozens of winning project and personnel award submissions. As a consultant, she has embodied the Precis idea of being a ‘trusted advisor.’ Her work has been bolstered by a strong commitment to helping students and young professionals achieve their fullest potential.

Amanda is married to her college sweetheart and has an adult daughter. An avid reader, cook, and world traveler, she loves planning the next trip to a far-flung location and identifying what she’ll eat when she gets there. She spends some of the year at her second home in New Orleans, where she’s a member of the oldest and largest all-female Mardi Gras parade organization, the Krewe of Iris.
