Precis Engineering led an in-house team of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers and coordinated the architectural consultant for design of a 5,000 square foot BSL-2 laboratory and adjacent 5,000 square foot vivarium for cancer research. Key components of the project included:

• Masonry walls with a highly durable and cleanable finish system
• Urethane non-slip flooring
• Redundant air conditioning systems
• Emergency power for critical equipment
• Vivarium included 4 animal holding rooms; cage washing and sterilization rooms; food, bedding, and clean cage storage rooms; and waste holding area
